JEE Mains 2026 session 2 answer key soon for over 11 lakh; what is normalisation process

The NTA will issue the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 answer key soon on its official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The testing agency follows a normalisation process to maintain fairness in the multi-shift computer-based JEE Mains 2026 exams.

NTA converts candidates’ raw scores into percentiles based on their relative performance in each shift. As a result, a slightly lower raw score in a more difficult shift can still yield a higher percentile than a higher score in an easier shift. The final merit list is compiled using a candidate’s best NTA score from both sessions, making consistent performance across attempts crucial.

JEE Main 2026 answer keys

National Testing Agency (NTA) faced criticism after the Coaching Federation of India reported 17 errors in the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 answer key and demanded bonus marks for 10 questions, citing ambiguity, numerical inconsistencies, and multiple correct options.

According to CFI, 10 of these questions should receive “bonus” marks as they were fundamentally flawed or unclear. The remaining seven were said to contain issues such as incorrect numerical values, wrong answer choices, or more than one correct answer. Physics accounted for the highest number of disputed questions among all subjects.
